MEET THE HAPPY PLACE™ BUNCH

Meet our biggest fans, our cheerleaders. They’re not that big on social media yet, but they’re experts in living life to the happiest!
PLEASED LOUISE

Where’s your happy place?
PL: My happy place is the breakfast nook in my kitchen. It’s my favorite place to sip coffee, read the paper, and—my absolute favorite hobby—watch my husband do the dishes!

What’s your go-to joke?
PL: What do you call a duck that gets straight A’s? A wise quack.

If you could do anything for a living, what would you do?
PL:  Weather woman! Only I decide the weather, not report it.

What’s your favorite song?
PL: “Feeling Good” by Nina Simone. She’s got a voice like no one else!

Are you always pleased, Louise?
PL: I try to be! I’m a glass half-full kind of gal most of the time. But life is life. Refills aren’t always free, heh. Perfection isn’t my goal. Balance is.

PEPPY JEFFREY

Where’s your happy place?
PJ: My local movie theatre. The excitement in the cool, dark air just before the projector fires up…pure magic! I go all out with the snacks. But no Milk Duds anymore. Dentures.

What’s your go-to joke?
PJ: What’s Forrest Gump’s password? 1-Forrest-1!

If you could do anything for a living, what would you do?
PJ: Stunt man!

What’s your favorite song?
PJ: “The Force Theme” by John Williams. He’s a national treasure.

Are you always peppy, Jeffrey?
PJ: Gosh, no. I have my moments like everyone else. When you’re as old as I am, you know how to cherish what you have while you have it. Gratitude, gratitude, gratitude!

THRILLED BILL

Where’s your happy place?
TB: This is going to sound really lame, but it’s my front door! Coming home after a long day, I’m greeted by my dog Bucky—the goodest boy in the whole world.

What’s your go-to joke?
TB: What do you call a dog with surround sound? A sub-woofer!

If you could do anything for a living, what would you do?
TB: I dream about living off the grid in a cabin in the woods sometimes…but I know I’d miss things. Especially Netflix®.

What’s your favorite song?
TB: “Home” by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes. A classic.

Are you always thrilled, Bill?
TB: I like to think I can find something to be thrilled about in my life, no matter what. Even if it’s just the look on my dog’s face when I put on my boots for a W-A-L-K.

JOLLY HOLLY

Where’s your happy place?
JH: On the dance floor, shaking what my momma gave me—great rhythm. Clubs are okay, but the best dancefloor is the wedding dancefloor after the DJ plays a few oldie bangers. That’s Holly’s time to shine!

What’s your go-to joke?
JH: I don’t do jokes. I stick to sarcasm.

If you could do anything for a living, what would you do?
JH: My dream is to own my own hair salon. You know the kind that becomes like a pillar of the community? Mark my words, I’m gonna make it happen.

What’s your favorite song?
JH: “September” by Earth, Wind & Fire, baby! Oh, or “Juice” by Lizzo! This is a hard one.

Are you always jolly, Holly?
JH: Pssh! No. But I try to bring the positivity to the party. There are enough Negative Nancys in the world.

CHILLAXED MAX

Where’s your happy place?
CM: In the crowd at a great show. I have a few favorite venues in town. There’s nothing like live music energy, when your favorite artists are doing their thing, and the crowd’s singing along.

What’s your go-to joke?
CM: What did Jay-Z call Bey before they were married? His Feyoncé.

If you could do anything for a living, what would you do? CM: Music producer! I’m a behind the scenes kind of guy.

What’s your favorite song?
CM: Super tough Q. If I have to pick, I’d say “Can I kick it?” by A Tribe Called Quest. It’s a vibe.

Are you always chillaxed, Max?
CM: Yeah, I’m a pretty low-key guy. I try not to get too wound up about anything. A few years ago, I discovered this guided meditation app, which kinda changed the game for me. Highly recommend.
